Job Description:

The DevOps Security Engineer is a well-rounded technical professional with a solid understanding of Web development, Security, and Cloud technologies.  As a member of the Information Security team, the engineer will collaborate closely with internal and external partners to embed security into the development pipeline and ensure security is maintained throughout the SDLC.


  • Embed security into the CI/CD and DevOps pipeline:
    • Ensure code is assessed prior to deployment.
    • Assess and remediate vulnerabilities throughout the Software Development Lifecycle.
    • Define and implement security baselines for digital applications.
    • Ensure code deployments meet the organization’s quality and compliance requirements.
  • Provide guidance and champion secure development practices.
  • Collaborate with information security team to implement new security tools and systems.
  • Assist in developing, implementing and enforcing policies to enhance physical, network and system security.
  • Reduction of internal & external attack surfaces in our cloud environment.
  • Tracking and researching the latest attacks and how they might apply to our environments.
  • Ensure data stores are handing data according to our policies.
  • Implement, monitor and maintain preventative, detective and administrative security controls.
  • Coordinate penetration testing activities and remediation of findings.
  • Support miscellaneous security initiatives as needed (i.e., monitoring, incident response, technology review and audit).
  • Alternating 24/7 support for cloud and on prem solutions to provide maximum uptime and security.


  • 2 + years of experience in a security role.
  • 1+ years web or mobile development experience.
  • Good understanding of Software Analysis (SAST, DAST), Threat modeling, and Penetration Testing.
  • Hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure, DevOps, and CI/CD technologie.
  • Experience with scripting languages like Azure CLI, Bash, Python.
  • Experience with certificate and Key management.
  • Experience with OWASP best practices and WAF administration.
  • Experience collecting and analyzing log data.
  • An understanding of Infrastructure as Code.
  • Ability to write detailed technical documentation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners.
  • Experience with Java, C#, and JavaScript frameworks like Angular or NodeJS a plus.
  • SIEM Alerts and Reporting.
  • Associate’s degree required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
