Job Description:

The Employee Advocate serves as the liaison between the store employees, regional teams, and various Store Support Center departments, coordinating various issues such as pay, benefits, and conflict management. This individual offers administrative support to the Regional Human Resources and Operations teams.


  • Processes and coordinates a variety of daily reports including, but not limited to: store bonus reports, talent management reports, various payroll reports, and background check reports.
  • Processes all Personnel Authorization actions (promotions, demotions, transfers, reclassifications, etc.) and forwards all appropriate information to payroll and field team members. Maintains subject matter expertise in relation to these responsibilities and serves as the point of contact for regional payroll.
  • Orders uniforms and office supplies as needed. Collects name badge orders from the stores and sends to warehouse. Follows up when necessary.
  • Maintains active spreadsheets on training initiatives for reporting purposes.
  • Ensures the Regional SSC is stocked with appropriate supplies and equipment.
  • Fields all calls to the Regional office and ensures he/she is present for all deliveries and walk-in applicants and employees.
  • Serves as an employee advocate for Human Resources related matters including, but not limited to: employee relations tasks, training and documentation. Supports with employee concerns, communicates and recommends solutions to leadership to enhance the employee experience at RaceTrac.
  • Reviews unemployment claims and organizes/coordinates unemployment hearings.
  • Coordinates employee engagement/relations projects including but not limited to Team Member of the Month, anniversary cards, and birthday cards.
  • Assists the Field Recruiting team in various ways as needed.
  • Coordinates large regional events such as Professional Conduct Training, Leadership Forums, and other special events.
  • Coordinates and schedules internal and external Human Resources investigations with the Legal department.
  • Coordinates and supports SSC guest visits and store training.
  • Conducts exit interviews and executes stay surveys as needed.


  • 1-2 years related experience in a related field preferred
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel preferred
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) a plus
  • Experience with Workday preferred
  • Retail experience preferred
