Job Description:

The Manager of Compensation is responsible for the development, administration, and implementation of RaceTrac’s compensation programs.  This individual will support the organization’s compensation infrastructure by providing the necessary analytics and compensation metrics needed to support organizational objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates jobs, determines pay grades, participates in compensation surveys, and performs associated analysis. Ensures that requests for pay adjustments comply with current compensation policy.
  • Leads the Annual Compensation Review Process; assists with testing in RaceTrac’s compensation software and websites prior to rolling out the live process.
  • Conducts complex ad-hoc analytical projects involving large amounts of data, identifying key themes and highlighting areas of opportunity.
  • Conducts compensation benchmarking for all RPI positions in preparation for annual compensation reviews. Works with senior leadership to verify position matches, seeks additional information where applicable and determines how each department would like the information to be presented. Creates tailored cuts of data for different managers as necessary.
  • Researches annual market movement and economic projections to assist with the development of guardrails for the annual compensation review process. Analyzes overall spend from previous year and documents key themes and pertinent points for consideration.
  • Leads annual, bi-annual, and quarterly structured bonus programs.
  • Responsible for the development, administration and implementation of RaceTrac’s time-off programs in Workday.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year College or University or equivalent experience
  • MS Office Suite, with intermediate Excel knowledge preferred
  • 5+ years experience in compensation highly preferred
  • PHR certification a plus
