The Supply Analyst is responsible for supporting all RaceTrac and RaceWay markets’ gasoline and diesel supply through forecasting, planning, and analyzing the supply mix to reduce the weighted average cost of fuel deliveries to the store. This individual will help to ensure accurate inventory levels of different grades of gasoline for a variety of geographic markets. The Supply Analyst works to generate and interpret data to ensure delivery of fuel at an optimal price to ultimately diminish costs for the organization.  

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes supply sources and optimizes the supply mix to reduce cost to the stores.
  • Accumulates market information and trends to help evaluate and determine appropriate risk strategies.
  • Visits terminal personnel, carriers, and/or supply partners to understand markets and build relationships with counterparts.
  • Assists the Regional Supply Manager and Director of Supply with duties as needed.
  • Works with Regional Supply Managers to ensure drivers are delivering loads from appropriate vendor’s terminals.
  • Collaborates with Regional Supply Managers to ensure all contracts and deals are lifted in accordance with agreements.
  • Collaborates with Accounting Department to review and resolve invoicing errors from vendors.
  • Recognizes and analyzes arbitrage opportunities to supply fuel at optimal price.
  • Prepares and reviews fuel supply contracts to ensure that all contracts support and protect RaceTrac’s interests. 
  • Finds and analyzes new supply opportunities by reviewing both micro and macro indicators on a regular basis.
  • Monitors daily, weekly, and monthly supply plan execution across multiple markets, products, and sources. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferred
  • 0-3 years professional experience in finance, logistics, business preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
