Job Description:

The UST Compliance Project Manager will ensure that all inspections, inventory reconciliation, and operator training requirements are completed in a timely manner to ensure regulatory compliance. This position will also react and respond to notices of violation and associated penalties received by the company. The key driver of this position is to ensure timely response that meet predetermined deadlines.


  • Manages regulator and regulatory required fuel system inspections including timely resolution to violations that stem from fuel system inspections.
  • Reviews all internal and state conducted inspections and works to resolve any and all deficiencies found during inspections.
  • If necessary, attend settlement conferences and/or prepare supporting documentation for such conferences.
  • Manages fuel inventory reconciliation for environmental regulatory compliance.
  • Develops key performance indicators and uses inspection data to create proactive initiatives for fuel system compliance.
  • Manages the Class A, B, and C Operator Training program.
  • Provides employee training on compliance related topics, policies, or procedures.
  • Conducts periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed.
  • Verifies that all company specific and regulatory policies and procedures have been documented, implemented, and communicated.
  • Assists with any projects delegated from Environmental leadership on an as needed basis.
  • Oversees multiple projects simultaneously and ensures quality is achieved on project deliverables.


  • Degree from an accredited college or university required, graduate degree in related area preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience required
  • 3-5 years of experience preferred
  • Ability to solve problems, add value to the organization and develop effective processes using good judgement
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization and authorities having jurisdiction
  • Strong Fuel System and Regulatory Knowledge
  • High performer that is results driven
