Job Description

The B2B Sales Manager is responsible for growing business, driving sales performance, recruiting and managing new & existing customers, superior execution of sales & service processes/activities, all while maintaining exceptional customer service. This individual will be focused on driving high performance results, generating strong leads, prospecting and identifying opportunities, negotiating and closing deals. This individual uses a project management approach with all marketing programs including working and leading cross-functional teams, goal setting, and results analysis. The B2B Sales Manager will also be the liaison between Marketing and Finance/Fuel teams for current and future deals for other card related or financial service products RaceTrac offers. Travel of up to 50% required.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Identifies, approaches, negotiates and closes medium and large-scale light duty Fleets.
  • Carries out price negotiations with customers, preparing quotations and proposals and agree on all operational requirements (including price, contract, payment terms and services).
  • Provides timely and accurate forecast reports on performance and submits competitive and market evaluations and updates.
  • Demonstrate exceptional product knowledge and presentation skills while obtaining and servicing potential customers or existing accounts.
  • Develops and executes innovative sales strategies in collaboration with marketing and management to achieve sales targets.
  • Monitors performance trends of key accounts on a quarterly basis and determines appropriate actions to address any issues to optimize the business and deliver best-in-class customer service and compliance to credit policy.
  • Manages B2B engagements, understanding customer needs and promoting appropriate solutions.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with new and existing customers regularly through phone/email. Carries out quarterly follow-ups with customers.
  • Develops relationships with fleet manager and strategies to help them communicate value to their drivers.
  • Conducts internal follow ups on performance metrics, business development and opportunities as needed
  • Coordinates with other Finance/Marketing programs; including but not limited to, ATM and card acceptance and B2B gift card sales.
  • Assists marketing partnership team with selling ad space to vendors/partners on pump screens.
  • Partners with cross-functional teams that include members from Marketing, Finance and Supply & Distribution to collect data and information to drive decisions and negotiate one-off deals where appropriate.
  • Seeks new business opportunities through cold calling, email campaigns, vertical marketing and industry contacts.
  • Develops, manages, and implements a fleet marketing program designed to achieve sales targets and increase use of fleet cards in all regions.
  • Travels to different markets to evaluate the success of fleet marketing and other finance programs as well as visiting RaceTrac Travel Centers and customers.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of outside sales experience with proven client acquisition
  • Proven Sales, Project Management and Retail Management experience preferred
  • Demonstrates consistent quota performance in a business-to-business sales environment
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, executives and third parties
