Job Description

The Construction Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and reporting on data within the construction department. This individual is a data visualization expert, with construction industry knowledge, and is able to work with end users to understand reporting requirements and develop solutions to meet their needs.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Works with stakeholders to create, maintain, launch, and revise dashboards and other data efforts
  • Develops and present high-level metrics in a simple, accessible way
  • Develops and maintain databases and reporting tools related to pre-construction, project build-times, project costing, equipment life cycle and other construction data
  • Digs into the data and ensure accuracy against other reporting tools within the organization
  • Responds to and manage requests for data solutions and visuals from the construction leadership team
  • Stay’s up-to-date on industry trends and/or disruptions to cost and services
  • Creates value by being proactive in offering data driven solutions to inefficiencies
  • Develops a user friendly suite of reporting tools in PowerBI
  • Helps foster a data-driven culture


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, data analytics, finance or related field of study with a knowledge of and passion for construction
  • Preferred experience in data analysis and visualization
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Google Sheets, and PowerBI
  • Knowledge of data/information solutions lifecycle – from conceptual phase to maintenance
  • Ability to work with others to organize, standardize, and solicit data.
  • Experience in presenting on your findings in a confident and concise way.
  • Firm understanding of the construction life cycle and construction processes.
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced ever-changing environment.
