Job Description

The Procurement Operations Analyst is responsible for analyzing, reporting, and presenting Procurement metrics, supplier spend, and assist in identifying additional sourcing opportunities.  The Analyst will audit and track compliance of projected savings and report on anomalies found in the process. The Procurement Operations Analyst will also be responsible for providing trend forecasts and industry reporting to the Procurement team as well as other internal business groups.  Up to 5% travel.

  • Creates and maintains various spend cubes in PowerBI for the Procurement department from multiple data sources
  • Generates and helps prioritize new sourcing opportunities to maximize project ROI and increase spend coverage
  • Provides analysis and reports to Procurement regarding third party spend and performance across multiple categories
  • Tracks and reports monthly on department key performance indicators and metrics
  • Tracks savings and works with Contract Analyst(s) to measure actual versus planned savings and reports on findings
  • Provide regular reports regarding cost compliance and supplier performance
  • Educates self and stakeholders on trends in commodities that are critical cost drivers to the business
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure data integrity and best practices are being followed

Job Requirements

  • Carries out end-to-end sourcing lifecycle activities
  • Provides analytical data and information to support procurement initiatives
  • Performs market research to identify potential suppliers
  • Provides analytics to aid in contract negotiations
  • Assists in contract negotiations
  • Makes recommendations to stakeholders and leadership teams

  • Bachelor’s degree from 4-year College or University in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Computer Science or related field
  • 2+ years’ experience in business analysis, procurement, and/or supply chain management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in reporting tools, specifically PowerBI or similar platforms
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, or other Business Intelligence Software
  • ERP (Workday specifically) experience is a plus
