Job Description

The Site Selection Analyst helps support the strategic vision for Real Estate to ultimately meet the organization’s growth goals. This individual is a part of the Real Estate department and supports the team with research and detailed analysis concerning potential acquisition and development opportunities. Up to 50% travel may be required.

Job Requirements

  • Helps collect, organize and analyze information to support the company’s real estate activities including land and building acquisitions, leasing, site selection, and the disposition of underperforming stores and surplus properties.
  • Adopts new ideas, strategic learning technologies, and approaches.
  • Facilitates constant communication with senior management throughout the site lifecycle to identify areas of opportunity for project improvement.
  • Works with Managers to assess current processes, systems, and tools to create a more efficient and effective real estate site selection lifecycle.
  • Works with stakeholders on preparing necessary reports and presentations to clearly analyze relevant data and recent trends.
  • Plans and attends Real Estate site selection trips and attends Real Estate committee meetings.
  • Manages database of current and future RaceTrac and RaceWay store locations with GIS and demographic data.
  • Acquires research for potential site acquisition opportunities, including, but not limited to: ownership, legal records, zoning, traffic information, permitting regulations, and comparable sales.
  • Maintains an overall knowledge of the processes, procedures, and legalities within the region.
  • Works and collaborates with land owners, real estate brokers and developers, as well as city, county and state officials to obtain information about a potential or existing site.
  • Actively researches and monitors the growth plans of competitors.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Real Estate, Finance or related field preferred
  • 1-3 years’ experience in Real Estate, Finance or a related field preferred
  • Experience or knowledge in commercial real estate is a plus
  • Extensive knowledge of excel and power point required
